Four weeks following his stem cell treatment (SCT), Wang’s overall condition had improved compared to when he was admitted. Though still obtunded, the patient was responsive to light stimulus.
The increased muscle tone of his four limbs had improved. Moreover, his breath sounds were much clearer than before. When he received cold-stimulus in the sacral region, his muscle strength was noted to increase briefly over the upper limbs.
